New Israeli Incursion in the Central Quneitra Countryside and Establishment of a Temporary Checkpoint to Search Civilians

Israeli forces continued their violations inside Syrian territory in Quneitra Governorate, amid official silence regarding these repeated breaches.

Local sources reported that an Israeli forces patrol, consisting of three military vehicles, set up a temporary checkpoint on the road linking the villages of Umm al-Azzam and al-Mashayrifa in the central Quneitra countryside, where it stopped a number of civilians and searched them, before later withdrawing toward its newly established military base in the village of al-Adnaniyah.

This incursion comes as part of a series of repeated Israeli violations in the border areas, in an escalation considered a breach of Syrian sovereignty and raising growing concerns among residents about the repercussions of these ongoing military movements.

In a related context, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights had recorded, yesterday, that an Israeli military force opened direct fire toward a group of civilians while they were collecting mushrooms in agricultural lands near the village of al-Rafid in the southern Quneitra countryside, close to the disengagement line with the Syrian Golan.

Reports also indicated that a number of sheep herders were subjected to machine-gun fire while they were present in the same area grazing their livestock, causing a state of fear and tension, without confirmed information about human casualties.
