Israel Conducts Another Incursion in Quneitra Countryside and Withdraws After Raising Flag on Tall al-Ahmar

Israeli forces carried out a new incursion on Saturday in the southern countryside of Quneitra, entering with two military vehicles and two tanks from western Tall al-Ahmar toward eastern Tall al-Ahmar. They raised the Israeli flag atop the hill before later withdrawing.
Syrian state television reported that another Israeli patrol consisting of six vehicles advanced into the towns of Be’er Ajam and Breiqa, as well as the villages of Western and Eastern Zubeida, while a patrol of three vehicles entered the Ain Ziwan area and headed toward Abu Qubeis without establishing checkpoints.
This comes one day after another incursion on Friday near the village of Sayda al-Hanout in southern Quneitra, where Israeli forces set up a temporary checkpoint separating Sayda and the al-Mughathara farm.
For its part, the Israeli army announced that it had conducted operations inside Syrian territory aimed at locating and destroying weapons, affirming the continuation of what it described as “preemptive operations” to prevent any threat. It noted that forces from the 55th Division carried out operations in southern Syria, during which they located rockets and shells.
This month has witnessed several incursions in border areas, including the entry of an Israeli force into Sayda al-Hanout on November 16, as well as another incursion in the town of Khan Arnabah in northern Quneitra, during which four individuals were detained. Similar movements were also recorded near the village of Ma’riya in the Yarmouk Basin area in western Daraa countryside.
This escalation on the ground comes in the wake of increased Israeli military presence in southern Syria since December 2024, particularly in the buffer zone, where airstrikes and multiple incursions have been carried out over the past months.
