First Official Visit of Al-Shaybani to China… and Wang Yi Confirms Support for Syria’s Stability

On Monday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Syrian Transitional Government, Asaad Al-Shaybani, met with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, in the Chinese capital, Beijing, marking Al-Shaybani’s first official visit to China since assuming his position.

The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the discussions focused on the bilateral relations between the two sides and ways to develop them, without revealing additional details about the topics raised during the meeting.

For its part, China announced its readiness to contribute to supporting security and stability in Syria, confirming that it would explore opportunities to participate in efforts to rebuild the Syrian economy.

The visit represents a significant diplomatic step within the framework of the Syrian Transitional Government’s efforts to expand its international relations and strengthen cooperation with key global players.
