Jordan Denies Reports of a Visit by a Delegation from Sweida to Its Territory

An official Jordanian source on Sunday denied the accuracy of circulating reports regarding a visit by a delegation from Sweida province to the Kingdom, confirming that “there are currently no arrangements for such a visit.”

Earlier today, media reports had stated that a delegation from the Druze community in Sweida would soon visit Jordan to discuss a roadmap for resolving the situation in the province. The Jordanian denial came after these reports spread across media outlets and social media platforms.

The source clarified that Jordan, in coordination with the Syrian Transitional Government and the United States, continues working on implementing the roadmap related to stabilizing southern Syria, noting that the plan includes a visit by residents of Sweida to Jordan, “but its date has not yet been determined.”
