Al-Shibani Heads to China for Official Talks

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Syrian Transitional Government announced on Sunday that Foreign Minister Asad al-Shibani will head to China tomorrow for his first official visit since assuming his position.

The visit comes after Minister al-Shibani’s tour of the United Kingdom, during which he reopened the Syrian Embassy building in London and resumed its operations after a 14-year closure.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a brief statement that al-Shibani will hold talks with several Chinese officials during his visit to Beijing, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency.
