New Israeli Incursion in Rural Daraa Without Clashes

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored an incursion by Israeli forces in the Sayda al-Hanout area in rural Daraa, where the forces set up a temporary checkpoint to inspect passersby before withdrawing from the area without any contact.

The Observatory explained that the operation involved four military vehicles and came amid escalating tension on the southern Syrian front in recent weeks, with increasing Israeli aerial activity over the area.

The Observatory also documented, yesterday evening, another incursion by Israeli forces consisting of three tanks and several vehicles near the Al-Suqari checkpoint at the beginning of the Peace Highway. The force had set out from the demolished Quneitra base, in addition to another incursion involving four tanks toward the town of Al-Samdaniyah in rural Quneitra. The tanks were accompanied by other military vehicles and set up a flying checkpoint on the road linking the towns of Jaba and Khan Arnaba, which included inspection operations and restrictions on passersby without any arrests being recorded, in parallel with the flight of Israeli drones and warplanes.
