Turkish Soldiers Enter Syria Amid Increasing Military Coordination with the Transitional Government

Media reports indicate that units of the Turkish army, including officers and field commanders, have crossed into Syrian territory in recent hours, in coordination with the Ministry of Defense of the Syrian Transitional Government.

The reports explained that this move comes within the framework of a recently concluded security and military agreement between the two sides, aimed at enhancing cooperation in training, defense planning, and the exchange of field intelligence.

Sources added that Turkish forces have arrived at several border points and locations near areas controlled by the Transitional Government, in preparation for launching training programs for its personnel in field operations management and countering security threats, particularly in the northern regions of the country.

According to the information, these developments followed official meetings held between military delegations from both sides over the past weeks, which included discussions on new security arrangements along the shared border and ensuring continued coordination against armed groups that remain active in certain areas.

Neither Ankara nor the Syrian Transitional Government has issued official statements regarding the nature of these movements, but diplomatic sources indicated that cooperation between the two parties is gradually expanding in the military domain, amid a broader political alignment aimed at stabilizing security and restoring order in northern Syria.
