A Young Woman and Her Father Killed in a Shooting at a Market in Sweida City
A young woman and her father were killed today, Thursday, after being shot in the market of Shahba city in the Sweida governorate, southern Syria.
The “Sweida 24” network reported that the young woman, Faten Sha’fa Hamza, in her twenties, and her father, Sha’fa Hamza, died from their injuries after being shot inside the market.
The network quoted a source from the Internal Security Forces leadership, stating that the authorities have arrested the prime suspect, Tha’er Taha, the woman’s ex-husband, who carried out the killings.
The source added that investigations are ongoing to determine the motives behind the crime and to reveal its full circumstances.
