The U.S. Vice President Affirms No Troop Deployment in the Gaza Strip

U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance stated that the United States will not deploy any military forces in the Gaza Strip, affirming Washington’s commitment to maintaining the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.
Vance added, in remarks reported by Al Jazeera, that the truce remains in place despite some limited violations, noting the Israeli government’s adherence to the agreement and that Washington will continue to cooperate with it to ensure its continuity.
He pointed out that the Israeli Knesset’s decision regarding the annexation of the West Bank will not be implemented, describing it as a “stupid political ploy,” and affirmed that the United States is focusing its efforts on rebuilding areas cleared of Hamas presence.
The U.S. Vice President anticipated that the reconstruction of Rafah city in southern Gaza would take between two and three years, noting that it is still too early to begin implementing measures on the ground.
