As-Suwayda: Temporary Suspension of Schooling Following Drone Attacks

The National Guard Command in As-Suwayda Governorate announced on Tuesday the temporary suspension of school sessions to safeguard the safety of students and educational staff, following an escalation of drone attacks targeting populated areas near schools.

In a statement, the command said that “armed groups are using drones to target civilian areas,” noting that several of these drones have been shot down and that “strict precautionary measures” have been implemented to protect residents and educational facilities.

The statement confirmed that the relevant authorities are monitoring the developments on the ground and are working to “counter any threat to civilian security,” emphasizing that the suspension of schooling is a temporary measure aimed at maintaining stability and public security in the governorate.
