SDF Delegation Arrives in Damascus to Discuss Mechanism for Joining the Syrian Army

On Sunday evening, a military delegation from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrived in the capital, Damascus, in a move aimed at discussing the mechanism for integrating SDF forces into the Syrian army, according to local sources.

The delegation includes SDF General Command member Seban Hemo, Suzdar Haji, as well as commanders Abjar Dawood and Shakir Deir al-Zour. This meeting is considered the first of its kind for the committees formed under the March 10 agreement, which seeks to address the military integration file.

The first round of negotiations between the two sides is scheduled to begin later on Monday.

This step comes as a follow-up to what was agreed upon during the recent meeting between the head of the Syrian Interim Government, Ahmad Al-Sharaa, and the SDF General Commander, Mazloum Abdi, where it was agreed to hold meetings of military committees from both sides to complete the integration process.

Extensive details about the agenda and outcomes of the talks have not yet been announced, while observers await any progress regarding the integration of the SDF into the Syrian military institution.
