Limited Fire Breaks Out in Storage Room at Children’s University Hospital in Damascus, Incubators Evacuated Immediately

A fire broke out this morning in the storage room of the Children’s University Hospital in Damascus, according to official sources. The hospital’s director, Diana Al-Asmar, confirmed that the fire was limited to the storage room containing medical supplies and papers related to the nursing staff, and did not cause any damage to the infant incubators or critical sections of the hospital.

The sources explained that the infant incubators were immediately evacuated upon the outbreak of the fire, as a precautionary measure to ensure patient safety. Firefighting teams were able to control the flames before they spread.

There were no reports of injuries among patients or medical staff. The competent authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
