Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani Visits Turkey Today

Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani headed to the Turkish capital Ankara this morning, Thursday, for an official visit, according to a statement issued by the Kurdistan Regional Government.
The statement indicated that during the visit, Barzani will meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to discuss bilateral relations between Turkey, Iraq, and the Kurdistan Region, in addition to regional developments and other mutual interests.
Meanwhile, the Turkish Presidency announced that President Erdoğan will receive Barzani at the Presidential Palace in Ankara at 16:00 Turkey time.
The last meeting between Nechirvan Barzani and Erdoğan took place on April 11, 2025, on the sidelines of the 4th Antalya Diplomatic Forum, where Barzani also held meetings with high-level officials from several countries.
