A child was kidnapped in front of his school in Latakia, and the security forces are investigating the incident

A child named Muhammad Qais Haider was kidnapped yesterday morning in front of his school, “Jamal Dawud,” in the city of Latakia, as shown in images spread on social media.

The Syrian Ministry of Interior stated that the Internal Security leadership in the governorate is following up on the case with interest, and has instructed the competent authorities to take immediate action, launch an investigation, and gather necessary information to uncover the circumstances of the incident and identify the perpetrators.

Latakia Governor Muhammad Osman assured that he is following up on the case with the Internal Security leadership, stressing that the security authorities are making efforts to reach the perpetrators and arrest them to bring them to justice.

The statement emphasized that such incidents represent attempts to disrupt security and stability in the governorate, and that the security forces will continue their efforts to prevent the recurrence of such events.
