Crossings Closure Between Autonomous Administration Areas and the Transitional Government Enters Its Fourth Day

The closure of crossings between the Autonomous Administration areas of North and East Syria and the territories controlled by the Syrian Transitional Government continues for the fourth consecutive day, with limited exceptions for students and patients from crossing procedures.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the forces controlling the crossings are not allowing commercial vehicles or trucks transporting goods to pass, which has worsened living conditions and increased the suffering of residents in several areas.

The source indicated that movement on the roads between the Autonomous Administration areas and the Transitional Government remains as follows:

Raqqa – Aleppo road (via Deir Hafer): closed, with the Zakia road used as an alternative.

Raqqa – Hama – Damascus road (via Athriya): closed, except for special cases such as medical reports and students.

Raqqa – Maadan road: remains completely closed.

The Observatory called for opening the roads to civilians and allowing movement according to the usual legal procedures to alleviate the burdens on residents and travelers.

It pointed out that the ongoing closure has led to the deterioration of humanitarian conditions in North and East Syria and Aleppo city, where the Deir Hafer crossing remains closed for the eleventh consecutive day with no signs of resolution, causing an almost complete halt to transportation and detaining hundreds of civilians between the two sides.
