Erdogan: The SDF Must Integrate into Syrian State Institutions

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said today, Wednesday, that the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) must “fulfill their promise and complete their integration with the Damascus government,” considering this step necessary to achieve stability in Syria.

Erdoğan added in remarks made to journalists aboard the plane during his return from Azerbaijan that Turkey is closely monitoring all developments related to the situation in Syria, emphasizing that “the unity of Syrian territory is a fundamental priority for Ankara.”

The Turkish president explained that “those who move toward Ankara and Damascus will win,” pointing out that “the Turkish-Kurdish-Arab alliance could be the key to lasting peace and security in the region,” in his words.
