The negotiation delegation of North and East Syria announced that it discussed four main points with representatives of the Syrian Interim Government during a meeting held today in Damascus, covering political and military issues as well as the future of the constitutional process in the country.

The delegation stated in a press release published on its official page on the “X” platform that the meeting included the General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazlum Abdi; Co-Chair of the Foreign Relations Office, Ilham Ahmed; and Commander of the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), Ruhlat Afrin, alongside Interim Government President Ahmad Al-Shara and Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Sheibani.

The statement explained that discussions included a proposal to integrate the Syrian Democratic Forces and Internal Security Forces into an organized and unified national army aimed at protecting all Syrians, emphasizing that no official documents were signed during the meeting.

The delegation added that there was an agreement on an immediate and complete ceasefire in the regions of North and East Syria as well as in the city of Aleppo, and on the necessity of amending the constitution to ensure representation of all Syrian components.
