Escalation of Clashes in Sheikh Maqsoud Neighborhood in Aleppo, 15 Civilians Injured

The Al-Awarid area in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo is currently witnessing armed clashes between the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and the Public Security Forces affiliated with the Interim Government. Local sources reported that 15 civilians were injured as a result of the confrontations.

The sources explained that the Interim Government attempted to storm the neighborhood using tanks and firearms, which led to increased security tensions in the area amid a state of panic among residents and fears of further clashes.
