Closure of Deir Hafir-Aleppo Road Exacerbates Humanitarian Crises and Sparks Local Concerns

Residents of Deir Hafir city in eastern Aleppo countryside are suffering from deteriorating living and humanitarian conditions due to the continued closure of the road linking the city to Aleppo for over ten days, affecting transportation and the flow of essential goods to the area.

Hussein Muhammad Ali from Tel Qseif village confirmed that the closure has led to a shortage of food and medicine, causing difficulties in accessing healthcare services, including transferring patients to receive treatment in Aleppo. He added that some critical cases did not receive timely treatment, resulting in the death of citizens in the area.

Citizens called on the concerned authorities to take necessary measures to ensure the road’s reopening and secure the movement of civilians and goods in a safe and organized manner, to maintain the region’s stability and support the continuation of daily life for residents.

The Deir Hafir-Aleppo road is a vital artery for the flow of essential needs, including food, medicine, and agricultural products, and its continued closure poses a potential threat to local security and stability.
