UN Condemns Attack on Peacekeeping Forces in Lebanon

The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) stated that Israeli army drones dropped hand grenades near a UN site close to the Blue Line while peacekeeping forces were removing obstacles in coordination with the Lebanese army.

UNIFIL described the incident as the most serious attack on its personnel and property since the cessation of hostilities agreement in November, considering it a violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and international law. The mission called for an immediate halt to any similar attacks.
