Trump Extends National Emergency Regarding Syria for Another Year

U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a decision to extend the national emergency related to Syria for an additional year, as the U.S. administration continues to view the Syrian situation as a persistent threat.
In his justification, Trump stated that developments in Syria still pose an “unusual and extraordinary threat” to the national security and foreign policy of the United States.
This extension is part of an annual procedure that Washington has consistently followed since the national emergency concerning Syria was first declared, aimed at addressing the ongoing challenges posed by the Syrian crisis and its regional and international implications.
