Israel Announces Assassination of Two Hezbollah Commanders in Southern Lebanon

The Israeli army announced today, Tuesday, that the air force carried out a strike yesterday resulting in the killing of two Hezbollah commanders in southern Lebanon.

The Israeli army spokesperson confirmed the death of Mohammad Abbas Shashoua, the artillery commander in the Soukhmor area in southern Lebanon, explaining that Shashoua was responsible during the war for developing missile launch lines targeting Kiryat Shmona and the Golan Heights, and was recently working on rehabilitating infrastructure in southern Lebanon.

The army also announced the killing of Mohammad Hussein Yassin, a senior officer in Hezbollah’s artillery unit in the Shaqif sector, noting that he was developing military plans in the Galilee and Kiryat Shmona areas and working to restore the organization’s capabilities in the sector and transfer weapons south of the Litani River.
