Foiling of Escape Attempt from Al-Hol Camp in Northeast Syria

Private sources reported that a security operation took place in Al-Hol camp, resulting in the prevention of an escape attempt by three women and five children from families linked to ISIS.

According to the sources, the group was heading toward the Aleppo countryside, with preliminary investigations suggesting their final destination was connected to “armed cells,” without revealing further details about the identities of those detained.

The sources clarified that the forces involved in the operation emphasized the continuation of security measures inside the camp to prevent similar attempts from recurring and to ensure stability in the area and the safety of civilians.

Al-Hol camp remains one of the most prominent security and humanitarian issues in northeast Syria, hosting thousands of women and children from families of former ISIS fighters.
