Moscow Renewed Attacks on Ukraine: Dead and Injured in Wide-Scale Strikes

Russian forces renewed their shelling today on several areas in Ukraine, using dozens of missiles and drones in one of the widest attacks in weeks.

According to official Ukrainian sources, the attacks killed at least four people and injured dozens across various regions, including Zaporizhzhia and Poltava provinces. The governor of Zaporizhzhia reported that the strikes targeted vital facilities, while railway infrastructure in Poltava was damaged, disrupting train services.

Ukrainian Statements

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russia launched about 40 missiles and 580 drones in an “intense attack,” urging allies to provide more military support.

These developments come after a period of relative calm on the frontlines, amid Russia’s continued strategy of targeting Ukraine’s energy and transport infrastructure. The Russian Ministry of Defense has not issued an immediate comment regarding the attacks.
