Release of Figures Linked to Iranian Leadership in Deir Ezzor Countryside

The Syrian General Security Directorate released two local figures from the town of Baqrus in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside within the past 24 hours, both known for their connections to Iranian leadership.

Local sources reported that Mohammed Jabara was released this evening in the city of Al-Mayadin, where he was accompanied by motorcades as he returned to his hometown.

Yesterday, Khaled Al-Sarhan was also released. The town witnessed heavy celebratory gunfire by his close associates upon his release, which caused tension among the residents.
