Israel Announces Interception of Missile Launched from Yemen and Forces Presidential Plane to Make Emergency Landing

Tel Aviv – Israeli media reported today, Wednesday, that air defense systems intercepted a missile launched from Yemen, which fell before reaching Israeli territory, causing sirens to sound in greater Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and settlements in the southern West Bank.

Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper noted the detection of a drone near Ramon Airport, which triggered the alarms, and the missile forced the presidential plane “Wings of Zion” to make an emergency landing during a training exercise.

This escalation follows recent Israeli airstrikes targeting the Yemeni port of Hodeidah, as part of a series of attacks on vital facilities in Houthi-controlled areas since July 2024, while the Houthis continue launching missiles and drones at Israel in support of Gaza and targeting ships associated with it.
