On Sunday afternoon, the preparatory ministerial meeting for the Arab-Islamic emergency summit began in the Qatari capital, Doha, chaired by the Prime Minister and Qatari Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. The meeting included foreign ministers from the member states of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, among them Syrian Foreign Minister Assad Hassan Al-Sheibani.
Background of the Summit
Qatar called for the summit to be held tomorrow, Monday, following the Israeli aggression on September 9, which targeted the residence of several Hamas leaders in Doha, sparking a wide wave of Arab and Islamic condemnation.

• The draft final statement of the summit, which includes condemning the Israeli targeting and rejecting the violation of Qatar’s sovereignty.
